Culture Days Event Brings Together Three Local OrganizationsInterested in preventive conservation technique? Concerned about your prized possessions lasting another generation? Proper care will help extend the life of your precious family heirlooms and works of art. JoinMuseumof Health Care Collections Manager, Kathy Karkut, City ofKingston Civic Collections Technician, Sarah Forsyth and Agnes Etherington Art Centre Collections Manager and Exhibition Coordinator, Jennifer Nicoll for a behind-the-scenes presentation aimed at helping you better care for many types of family treasures, including papers, photographs, textiles and other fragile objects. The event will include an introductory talk on a variety of museum storage principles and preventative conservation techniques and materials; work stations with demonstrations on actual museum objects and an informal discussion and Q&A period.We welcome you to bring a photograph of your object.  Please do not bring actual objects. We are not able to appraise items. Recommended for adults. Pre-registration required.
