Parks Canada invites you and your family to participate in Parks Day at Bellevue House National Historic Site of Canada. Bellevue House will be open from 10 am to 5 pm, and the celebrations will feature some of our most popular activities! Join us in the morning for ice cream making or come in the afternoon and try your hand at candle dipping and quill penning. Our costumed interpreters will be your guides to what life was like when Sir John A. Macdonald lived here in the 1840s. Explore the historic garden and grounds and test your knowledge with our plant I.D. quiz. Stick around and you might catch a musical performance by our guides featuring historic folk songs and a rendition of the Parks Song written by Sarah Harmer. Come early to enjoy our Scottish shortbread, made from a recipe dating to the mid 1800s. Don’t forget to enter our draw to win a fantastic prize! Everything is included in the price of admission (adults $3.90, seniors $3.40, youth $1.90, family $9.80). Bellevue House National Historic Site of Canada is owned and operated by Parks Canada for the benefit and enjoyment of all Canadians.
